The Giant Egg Hunt returns to RHS Garden Bridgewater this Easter

Enjoy a supersized family adventure at RHS Garden Bridgewater this Easter (3 – 16 April 2023) and discover the larger-than-life eggs on the Giant Egg Hunt trail.

This year, the eggs have been decorated by local artists Cath Ford and Alastair Price, inspired by designs by pupils from four Salford schools - Moorside Community Primary School, Summerville Primary School, Marlborough Road Academy and St Boniface RC Primary School. Cath and Alastair ran creative workshops at each school and the children created some amazing artwork, which will also be on display in the garden.

As well as the trail there are some fun, family-friendly activities to try out:

  • Easter baby and toddler sensory workshop

Wednesday 5 and Wednesday 12 April

11am–11.30am, 12.30pm–1pm and 1.30pm–2pm

Bring your little ones along to discover Easter in these sensory interactive baby and toddler sessions run by our Education Team.

  • Blockbuster Factory by Cat and Mouse Theatre

Thursday 6, Friday 7 and Saturday 8 April

11am–12noon and 2pm–3pm

Get involved as Blockbuster Factory leads an interactive outdoor theatre show where you

become the movie stars!

  • Make your own bunny mask

Thursday 13 April

1pm–3pm

Create your own bunny mask to take home with you in this family-friendly arts and crafts session.

  • Colour the Clouds storytelling

Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April

11am–11.30am, 1pm–1.30pm and 3pm–3.30pm

Join Colour the Clouds as they take you through a tale of spring and Easter and see what you can discover.

  • Make your own rabbit envelope

Sunday 16 April

1pm–3pm

Bounce along to our arts and crafts session to make your very own rabbit envelope and fill it with some carrot seeds to plant in your garden.

Children who successfully find all of the hidden eggs will be rewarded with a free chocolate treat from PLAYin CHOC to take home. Free-from the top allergens, vegan and ethically made in the UK, visitors will love the delicious creamy chocolate made from only three organic plants.
