Wren Kitchens set to open doors at Hyndburn Retail Park

Bespoke kitchen design company, Wren Kitchens is set to open a 7,467 sq ft store, with a 4,763 sq ft mezzanine at Hyndburn Retail Park in August 2019.

Set to create 22 new jobs, the showroom store will join Harveys, Dream and Sofaworks to strengthen the already strong home lineup at the park, located mid-way along the M65 corridor.

Owned and managed by Peel Retail Parks, part of Peel L&P, the park has reported an 81% increase in footfall numbers over the past two years with over one million visitors in 2018. £3 million has also been invested in that time including improved access and infrastructure, CCTV and LED lighting.

Roger Wheeldon, Development Director at Peel L&P said: “The success story of Hyndburn Retail Park continues with the wonderful addition of Wren. The transformation of the park in recent years now complements local customers and their shopping needs including the addition of Aldi, B&M and Costa Coffee in recent times. We look forward to celebrating the open day with the Wren team.”

This will be the 82nd showroom opened by Wren Kitchens since launching 10 years ago. Wren manufactures more than 2,000 kitchens a week at three production facilities in North Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, offering the widest choice of kitchens in the UK. The new store will feature the latest smart kitchen technology and Wren’s expert designers will help customers create their dream kitchen.

Peel Retail Parks has shown unprecedented success in the out-of-town retail sector and continues to do so today. Despite all the negative media news stories, the retail park portfolio, including Hyndburn, continues to prosper with sustained annual growth supported by underlying occupancy levels at over 93% nationally, with several of the parks maintaining 100% occupancy.

Peel Retail Parks owns and manages retail parks in Barnsley, Blackburn, Bristol, Edinburgh, Corby, Gloucester, Trafford, Stockport, Sunderland and Yeovil. For more information visit
