Manchester foodies flocked to Lowry Outlet MediaCityUK over the bank holiday weekend bringing in record visitors numbers for its ever-growing Makers Market.
The Lowry Outlet Makers Market reported the highest footfall figures to date, for a three-day market, with an increase of 13%, on its last high-footfall three-day market back in August 2016.
Lowry Outlet Centre Manager Kelly Hurst, said: “The bank holiday Lowry Outlet Makers Market was a huge success, with our best visitor figures so far for a three day market event and we’re already looking forward to our next three day bank holiday market at the end of the month.
“Since we launched the Makers Markets in 2016, they’ve proved hugely popular as a great day out for families and friends – plus there is the added attraction that it’s free to visit. With quality artisan food, drink and award-winning craftsmen plus fun entertainment and new stallholders to discover each month, shoppers are returning time and time again to find their favourites and something new.
“At Lifestyle Outlets we are strongly invested in an ever-growing programme of events; 2017 promises to be our biggest year so far, with some fantastic events planned.”
The April Lowry Outlet Makers Market hosted more than 110 different stalls on the open-air Plaza across the bank holiday bonanza weekend, showcasing arts and crafts, street food, hand-baked goods, handcrafted jewellery and much more.
Shoppers visiting the Lowry Outlet Makers Market will discover new artisan stalls each month; selling a range of foodie treats including the best doughnuts in Manchester from MCR Doughnut Co, mouthwatering muffins and South African treats from The Muffin Mistress, authentic South African Biltong from Weston Biltong, and handcrafted mouthwatering brownies, rocky roads and cakes from Weenie Bakes.
