One of the most iconic landmarks in MediaCityUK, Quay West, has secured two new tenants as it continues to be a highly popular choice with occupiers.
The striking bronze glazed building, owned by Peel, is the new home for Arcon Housing Association. The company, which is one of Manchester’s most established housing associations, has relocated their headquarters taking space on the second floor of the building.
Bernard Gallagher, Chief Executive, for Arcon Housing Association said: “We were looking to relocate from the city centre and wanted good quality accessible premises in a vibrant surrounding with amenities and car parking for our staff close at hand. Quay West fully met all our requirements and allows us to have a new HQ which is modern and fresh and perfect for us relaunching our social business.”
Arcon were represented by Canning O’Neill.
Joining Arcon are Science Recruitment Group, part of the Impellam Group, who are re-locating from Furness House and taking space on the fifth floor.
Tim Taylor, Leasing Manager for Peel, said: “These are two significant lettings for Quay West, following several lettings achieved over the past 12 months, and the quality of the space and the highly accessible location just add to the continuing strong appeal of this iconic building.
“With interest in the two remaining suites, we’re confident we’ll be hanging out the “fully let” sign very soon. We also have a range of further spaces designed to meet the needs of any enterprises within MediaCityUK.”
The eight-storey structure, which was built in the early 1990s and is widely regarded as a prestigious landmark office building, with its foyer creating an unforgettable first impression. The upper floors offer unrivalled views of Salford Quays and MediaCityUK, Europe’s biggest purpose-built development for media, creative and digital enterprises.
This Grade A office building is located in a prominent position on Trafford Wharf Road adjacent to The Imperial War Museum and 2.5 miles south west of Manchester’s city centre, with MediaCityUK just a short walk away across the millennium bridge. It benefits from adjacent on-site car parking and direct pedestrian access.
The property is already well served by the MediaCityUK Metrolink and will be further enhanced by a new dedicated stop, adjacent to the building, on the new Metrolink extension to TraffordCity.
