One of Manchester’s biggest new attractions, Dino Falls Adventure Golf, marked its first birthday by treating local community groups to a game of its much-loved dinosaur mini golf.
Volunteers from local community groups and charities including Forever Manchester, Once Upon a Smile, Salford Foundation - Eccles, Children’s Adventure Farm Trust and De Brooke Lodge Care Home enjoyed VIP treatment and a fun-packed day of dinosaur action at the Trafford Golf Centre attraction, located in TraffordCity.
Since its launch in November 2017, Manchester’s Jurassic themed mini golf attraction has seen huge success, and this autumn celebrated the 150,000th round on the 18-hole course, plus a record-breaking day of 1,424 rounds in just one day.
Pete Styles, director of golf, at Trafford Golf Centre and Dino Falls, said: “Our first year in business has exceeded all of our expectations, and we’ve fast become a must-do activity among Manchester’s leisure scene.
“We wanted to mark our first birthday by doing something to give back to our local communities and a free day of adventure golf for local charities and groups was the perfect way to celebrate. We had around 100 volunteers play the course and enjoy VIP treatment for the day, from young children to a group of elderly care home residents, a fantastic celebration.”
Gigantic moving (and roaring!) dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus Rex, feature around the course, which is set around a winding river and huge cascading waterfall, along with a ‘Selfie-osaurus’ for capturing memorable moments.
Dino Falls offers educational activity books and work spaces for school classes or parties, along with fact-finding around the site, to fit with the school curriculum.
Trafford Golf Centre and Dino Falls Adventure Golf, located next to the M60, also offers a ‘We proudly serve Starbucks Café and Bar’, 53 bay golf range, nine PGA professionals teaching from the Academy and the largest American Golf retail store in the North.
