One of the world’s leading technical make-up artists, Shaune Harrison, has moved his studio and academy back to the Wirral after thirty years working in the film industry.
The renowned special effects and prosthetics artist has moved his academy, the Shaune Harrison Academy, to Woodside Business Park, a two-storey office space on the fringes of Wirral Waters.
Shaune has worked on some of the world’s biggest blockbusters, including Harry Potter, Captain America, Star Wars, Game of Thrones and The Avengers and will run a number of courses and seminars from his new premises on the banks of the River Mersey.
Woodside Business Park, which is owned by Peel L&P, has recently been refurbished to a fully-adaptable, open plan facility and has several units still available to let. The premises are available in part or as a whole and are in close proximity to Woodside bus and ferry terminals, Hamilton Square and Birkenhead town centre.
The accommodation comprises four main wings served by one central core as well as a designated car park and on-site coffee shop. It has been stripped to a shell condition to provide a blank canvas for any business to create a bespoke unit for their specific needs.
The Shaune Harrison Academy is the pinnacle of Shaune’s many accomplishments and his dedication and devotion to his trade are the driving force behind its continued success. He said: “I have moved back to the Wirral because I grew up here and wanted to return to my roots after spending 30 years based near MediaCityUK working in the film industry.
“I have been able to fully customise my new premises and the location of Woodside Business Park is ideal for me with excellent transport links so it’s really accessible from Liverpool city centre and the M53 motorway network.”
Liza Marco, asset manager at Peel L&P, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Shaune and his academy to Woodside Business Park. Shaune has had an incredible career and we are privileged to have such a distinguished tenant move in.
“Woodside Business Park suits businesses that are looking for a unique base which they can modify to suit their individual needs and requirements.”
