Partington Village,
working with the
local community

Partington Shopping Centre was opened in December 2014.

Peel funded a community art project, designed to bring the local community together, as well as encouraging residents to feel proud of their contribution within it. Partington resident Sophie Mahon was nominated for the project by the members of the community, after her success working with other organisations to create socially inclusive art projects, including projects with Tate Modern, Your Housing Group and Manchester City Council.
