With the vision to become a major retail, leisure and tourism destination on the Clyde, Glasgow Waters will complement, support and revive the surrounding area. The masterplan involves a substantial investment in infrastructure, the creation of hundreds of waterfront homes, retail and leisure opportunities, as well as a commercial district.

Over the past decade, The Peel Group has invested £874m in major projects across Scotland, creating 5,540 jobs and 3,460 homes. The first phase of the Glasgow Waters masterplan was completed in 2008 and involved the construction of 1,100 apartments on the site of the former Meadowside Granary, which was demolished in 2002.

Today, Peel L&P is fully committed to the Clyde Mission and has been working closely with the Scottish Government and local council on the plans for the Glasgow Waters area which includes Yorkhill Quay and Castlebank Quay.

The future vision for the area includes 1,100 homes (open market, build to rent and co-living), a 200 bedroom hotel plus a mix of leisure venues.
